Susan Fitzmaurice, who lives facing Charleston Court, where Mr. Williamson was found, says she and her husband were awoken around 2 am by officers asking to view the footage from their CCTV camera.

She said her husband had viewed the tape and saw people shortly after 1:30 am.

“Someone in a light-colored jacket walked past the van at the end of the street,” she said.

“They looked they had stumbled or dropped something.

“Then, not long after, someone dressed in black with white trainers came past on a bike.

“Then, a few minutes after that, the bike went down James Street. We’re not sure what relevance that has, if any.

“The police have gone through it and logged it all, and they’ve said they’ll get back to us if they need more.

“It’s bloody scary, though, really having something like that happen so nearby.”
