Nothing is quite like the January night when film and television collide under the same roof. It’s a magical place where champagne flows freely and anything can happen. And we do mean Anything.
This year, for instance, will certainly be a—yes—unprecedented one. Amid criticism of the Hollywood Foreign Press and surging coronavirus cases, the ceremony will not be televised nor will there be an audience or red carpet. For the first time in 75 years, the ceremony will not be televised. There won’t even be a red carpet.
