In 2011, Johnny Weir, a two-time Olympian, married Victor Voronov, his boyfriend. This year, he also confirmed his sexuality after years and years of speculation. However, they had to deal with abuse allegations and their union ended in less than a decade.
Rumours about his sexuality existed before his coming out. The figure skater confirmed his sexuality and said that he took his time to confirm the rumors. He felt it was obvious that he was gay, so he did have to make the announcement.
He got married to Voronov just a few months after the announcement. They had many problems together, including one case of domestic battery. They divorced in the following year after they separated.

What happened to Victor Voronov and Johnny Weir?
Before Johnny Weir announced their engagement, the couple had been secretly in a relationship. Victor Voronov hadn’t yet come out as gay when they got married on December 30, 2011. It was a huge step for him. Both sets of parents were present to witness their children exchange vows.
The couple had a happy marriage at first. But all hell broke out in 2014. In January 2014, Voronov filed a police report alleging that he was bitten by his spouse in a domestic violence case. Voronov dropped the charges after their court appearance. Weir :
