One flight attendant, who goes by the nickname @flywithmerm TikTok stated that the product is ideal for hotels and AirBnbs. It can be placed under your door, but it’s sensitive.

“It has three levels of volume and trust me, this will wake up the deepest sleeper if anyone tries to get in your room.”

One woman stated: “I’m a single mom that travels with her child & have this!!! I swear by it! I take the batteries out while traveling because sometimes it turns on.”

An additional: “This one is an ABSOLUTE must have. It’s so so important.”

AmazonThe stopper was purchased by a woman who gave it five stars. “Travelled solo to Mexico and loved the extra security this item provided. Forgot it was in door when leaving my room one morning. Yikes.. works like a charm.”

A second was mentioned in the review: “I love this door stopper, it sounds very loud, so, wonderful for advice if someone tries to come in.”

If you need other safety tips for traveling, an ex-hotel worker has shared his top travel tips.

He also warned that it could increase the likelihood of your room being broken into.

Justin Aldrich, a hotel employee for more than seven decades, stated that guests who misplace their key card wallet with the room number on them, can expose their valuables to danger.

Because anyone could grab it and walk straight into the room, which is impossible if you drop the key.

He explained thatInsider: “A lost key packet instantly gives the finder access into your space.

“But a random, unmarked key on the ground has no value besides the hotel name.”

He says that some hotels offer mobile features that allow you to use your smartphone as a keycard if you’re worried about losing the room number.

He also added: “This allows you to view your room number and keep track of the key without risking the information.”

Experts advise that you should not book a hotel room on the fourth floor.

Lloyd FigginsA former soldier, now a travel risk expert, stated that the third floor is the best for two reasons.

He said this to Sun Online Travel “Biggest thing that is overlooked is the risk of fire.”

He said, “When you enter a hotel, it’s in an unfamiliar environment that you believe is safe. Problem is, what should we do if there was a fire alarm?

“Do we know where the fire exit is? How are we going to get to it, and is it going to get you to safety? Is it blocked or locked?”

Lloyd agrees. “it is always worth walking the route of the fire escape, counting the number of doors between your room and the fire escape”.
