“Magic Mike’s Last Dance,”Steven Soderbergh is directing the third installment of Channing Tatum’s film franchise. The premiere will be exclusively on HBO Max. Warner Bros. Pictures announced this Monday.
Reid Carolin, the original director of the films, will also be writing the third installment.
Tatum will be reprising his role as “Mike Lane.”Gregory Jacobs, the director of the hit “Magic Mike XXL,”Carolin, Nick Wechsler, and Peter Kiernan return to produce.
“Is there anybody on screen more charismatic and appealing than Magic Mike?”Toby Emmerich is Chairman of Warner Bros. Pictures Group, according to a statement. “We’re thrilled to be back in business with Channing, Steven and their creative team to bring back Magic Mike’s wonderful combination of dance, drama, romance and humor.”
Tatum said: “There are no words for how excited I am to blow the doors off of the world of ‘Magic Mike’ with Steven, Greg, Reid, and the amazing people at HBO Max. The stripperverse will never be the same.”
Soderbergh also added: “As soon as I saw what Channing, Reid, and the ‘Magic Mike’ choreographic team did with the live show, I said we have to make another movie. Mike Lane’s dream of connecting people through dance must be realized!”
The first two “Magic Mike”Films grossed almost $300 million in worldwide, and the franchise was responsible for the creation of the stage experience in 2017. “Magic Mike Live.”The show premiered in Las Vegas. It quickly spread internationally, with sold-out shows in London, Berlin, and Australia. “Magic Mike Live”The band has announced that their first North American multiyear tour will begin in Nashville, Tennessee, on April 6, 2022. It will continue to Miami, with additional cities yet to be announced.
These live shows were the inspiration for the new reality series HBO Max “Finding Magic Mike,”It premiered on December 16, 2021.
