Who is the girl in the middle of Thor: Love and Thunder, and who is she?

The girl at Thor: Love and Thunder’s end is Love, the daughter of Gorr God Butcher (played here by Christian Bale).

She is portrayed by none other than India Rose Hemsworth, Chris Hemsworth’s 10-year-old daughter.

The opening scene of the film is where we first meet the character. The father and his daughter are stuck in a deserted landscape, with only Rapu as their hope. However, the god doesn’t answer their prayers and Love dies.

This leads Gorr to discover the Necrosword, slaying Rapu and vowing to kill all Gods.

Fast forward to the movie’s conclusion and Gorr makes a wish for Eternity to grant his daughter life again. He then asks Thor to look after Love and perishes as a result of the Necrosword’s curse on him.

Cut to them living a happy life together and it’s revealed that they’ll now fight side-by-side, with Love wielding Stormbreaker and Thor back with his ex, Mjolnir, at long last.

Fans can’t get over how cute the casting is

Numerous fans were quick to react to Chris Hemsworth’s Twitter casting of him alongside his real-life child.

‘She was absolutely magnificent’

A recent interview was conducted with MarvelChristian Bale, Chris Hemsworth, and both Chris Hemsworth remembered how amazing it was to collaborate with India.

Christian, who was her father on-screen, said that she was amazing despite the difficult scenes.

“We have a fair few scenes where, you know, it can get quite sad. I remember poor little thing at one point, I was doing a scene, and then I had to hold her, and tears dropped. I think one hit her on the face, and she was like ooh noo. I look, and like she’s going to chuck up, and I don’t blame her, poor little thing. But she was absolutely magnificent.”
