Scream 2022’s Ending: Who is the Killer?”

This movie is not like other slasher flicks, like the latter. “Friday the 13th”Installments or the “Halloween” franchise, “Scream”is just as much a whodunnit than anything else. The killer never carries over from one entry into the next; instead, he is always at work in every entry. “Scream”Sidney Prescott, played by Neve Campbell, is now being stalked in a new situation. This killer has either a connection to her or was involved in the initial attacks. “Scream.”Also known as “The New Movie”, “Scream,” the marketing materials and promotional packages have emphasized the guessing game – the tagline on the official poster states, “The killer is on this poster.”

Now that the film has finally been released (in all theaters), the question about who the killer is answered. “Scream”These should be discussed. The question is, do you like scary movies?

There are many spoilers in this article “Scream” follow, obviously.

A Family Affair

Scream 5

This new hook is available here “Scream”Perhaps the most cleverest since at minimum “Scream 2” – this time around, a killer in the trademark mask (which is meant to suggest Edvard Munch’s “The Scream”(black robes) is targeted at victims who are relatives to the original participants “Scream.”The following are the “Scream”universe, those events were immortalized in Gale Weathers’ book (the character played here by Courtney Cox) called “The Woodsboro Murders,”It was adapted to a horror movie franchise that has been running for decades, “The Nightmare”. “Stab.” Amongst the characters who are either directly or indirectly involved: Randy Meeks’ nieces and nephews (Mason Gooding from “Booksmart”Jasmin Savoy Brown, a luminous Jasmin Savoy. “Yellowjackets”), a girl whose parents purchased a house where some of the murders took place (Mikey Madison from “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”) and the son (Dylan Minnette) of Sheriff Judy Hicks (Marley Shelton), a prominent character from “Scream 4” who you probably don’t remember. In this new “Scream”Every detail is forensically categorized. As it should.

Tara Carpenter (Jenna Ortega), gets attacked, but not killed, in the first movie. Her big sister Sam (Melissa Barrera) is attacked but not killed in the attack. “In the Heights”To return to the town. Of course, given the conceit of the movie, Sam has some unspoken emotional baggage she hasn’t shared with her sister (or anybody else in the murder-plagued town of Woodsboro): she is actually the daughter of Billy Loomis (Skeet Ulrich, who makes a surprise appearance as the devil on her shoulder and is clearly having a ball). This puts her directly in the crosshairs and in front of the police investigating the murders.

Former sheriff Dewey Riley (David Arquette) gets pulled into the investigation by Sam, who warns her that she should look to those closest to her, like her affable boyfriend (Jack Quaid) and those in Tara’s immediate social circle. Their investigation begins but they are tragically forced to stop their investigations after a violent confrontation at a local hospital. “Halloween II” “Halloween Kills”Dewey is shot to death. This is enough to get Gale and Sidney involved in the mystery (Gale was already on her way down after learning of the initial murders, Sidney was reluctantly tugged back to town by Dewey’s death). With the two biggest legacy characters of the franchise now in the thick of it, an increasingly high body count piling up, and more meta references than you could quickly write down while watching the movie for the first time at a critics’ screening earlier this week, this new “Scream”The engine revs up to full speed. It’s practically a miracle. SceechesIn the third act.

The Scene of the Crime

As Sam and Tara (and Sam’s dopey boyfriend) are fleeing the hospital following the massacre that left Dewey dead, they make a desperate bid to get out of town. Tara forgot her inhaler. Her friend lives nearby and has one. Can they stop by Amber’s (Madison) place real quick on the way out? They will, of course. Amber is hosting a party. That is the problem. (The original film staged the party because, thanks to the principal’s demise, school was canceled. It made more sense, and the celebratory mood was at most partially justified.

Gale and Sidney are also following Sam and Tara (Sidney stuck a tracker on their car; she admits it’s a pretty Gale move) and show up at the same house. By the time they get there, most of the partygoers have left and our suspects and survivors are gathered in the same house – Sam, Tara, Sam’s boyfriend, and Tara’s circle of friends. True Agatha Christie scenario. Although not as well-drawn as the original movie, it is close. Only the legacy characters remain. But don’t worry, they arrive soon enough.

When Gale and Sidney get to the house, a wave of sickening understanding washes over them: it’s Stu Macher’s house, one of the killers from the original film and the site of that movie’s operatic mass murder. Cox stops speaking as they hear the bloodcurdling screams from inside the house. “Sounds about right.” Indeed.

Killer Unmasked

Scream 5 Ghostface

Let’s now get to the real question: Who is the killer?

It’s a lot more running around, stabbing, and shooting. Finally, it’s revealed that Amber is in fact the killer! While killing Liv (an oddly underutilized Sonia Ben Ammar), she makes her big confession and then stabs Mindy(Savoy Brown). But Amber notes, there’s Always two killers. (Brief caveat: There was only one killer. “Scream 3.”This is not the only reason that the god awful movie is an exception in the franchise.

This begs the question: Who is the other killer?

Why it’s none other than Sam’s nondescript boyfriend Richie (Quaid). Gasp! Gasp! It turned out that he was not as helpful and well-intentioned.

Even better than the reveal is their reason Why. Richie, it turns out is, is a “Stab”Superfan who is disillusioned by the direction the franchise has taken. He hopes to make the franchise right by creating a story that will bring everyone back to the series. He plans to accomplish this by committing series of small-town murders. His monologue is amazing and taps into the toxic fandom that has plagued major studio products these days. Richie would be the one crying about the Snyder Cut. “Justice League,”Wheezing or complaining “Star Wars: The Last Jedi”Twitter is a constant source of inspiration. His speech is great and perfectly aligns to the franchise’s preoccupations. He’s got to kill off the next generation and the old guard too.

According to reports, Amber met Richie and became militarized. She agreed to help him and was the one responsible for Dewey’s death. (The only thing that doesn’t quite track is how tiny Amber is. It didn’t exactly look like Willow was running around in the Ghostface mask during other parts of the movie.) After Sidney was stabbed and Gale shot, it’s a fight ensues. Amber tells Gale to “pass the torch,”Gale then throws her in front of the stove. Sam is still dealing with Richie. He repeatedly stabs her and they get into a fight. Sam sees her father looking back at her in the mirror. He points towards a knife. She repeatedly knifed him and finally cut his throat in one of the most memorable moments of the franchise.

Sidney, Gale, and Sidney stutter along and tell each other to be careful. They always come back. Richie is hit in the head by Sam. Tara takes Amber out of the kitchen and shoots her half-burned face. Well that’s the end of that chapter.

As they all leave the scene of the crime, it’s revealed that twins Mindy and Chad (Gooding) have survived. Gale says that she’ll probably start working on a new book, not about the bloodbath they just witnessed (nothing good can come of that). Instead, she’ll write a new book about the sheriff who tried to do something right in his beloved small town. That’ll be much better.

‘Scream 6’ When?

Scream

Although Sam would have to deal with the past, it is possible that the franchise could explore new avenues. It’s not impossible for many cast members to be replaced. As one character said earlier in the film, “But, still, “is it even a ‘Halloween’ movie without Jamie Lee?”
