Santa Monica Police announced Thursday that Santa Monica High School students were sent home after receiving the all clear from police following a hoax threat of a bomb.
Police reported that a bomb threat had been received at 11:42 AM. This prompted a lockdown of schools while school staff and police conducted a precautionary search on the campus.
Santa Monica Police stated that at 12:48 p.m. “no device or suspicious items have been found,”They declared that there had never been a bomb on campus at 2:30 p.m. The shelter in place order was subsequently ended.
