Cynthia Nixon was a mother like many mothers. She stayed by her son’s sides throughout adulthood. In an Instagram message, she expressed her joy in becoming a mother for Samuel Joseph Mozes, previously known as Samantha.
Cynthia has been vocal about her support for all members of the LGBTQ+ community and transgender persons since Samuel came out.
WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT SAMUEL JOSEPH MOZES
Samuel affectionately referred to as “Seph,” was born in November 1996 to Cynthia and Danny Mozes, who had been Cynthia’s previous partner and college sweetheart.
Danny dated the “Sex and the City” actress in 1988. They also have Charles Ezekiel, a son. They split one year after Charles was born.

Christine was Cynthia’s first girlfriend. Cynthia had never been to a romantic relationship before with Christine, but her charisma won her over.
Their unique family grew in 2011 when Christine gave rise to Max Ellington Nixon Marinoni. Charles and Samuel eventually adopt Max as their little half-brother.

After receiving his degree from the University of Chicago in June 2018, Samuel worked as an assistant director on the production of the play King Lear. Cynthia shared on Instagram about her son’s graduation, which read:
“I’m so proud of my son Samuel Joseph Mozes (called Seph) who graduated college this month. I salute him and everyone else marking today’s #TransDayofAction. #TDOA”
Cynthia has been a staunch supporter of the transgender community. She expressed on Twitter that she continues to support transgender people in New York, noting them as a group that faces a “much higher risk” of violence and discrimination.

Charles is Samuel’s younger brother. Cynthia was pregnant with Charles during the fourth season of “Sex and the City,” in which she co-starred alongside Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, and Kristin Davis.

Charles was born in December 2002. In 2019, on Charles’s 17th birthday, Cynthia presented him with a record player-shaped cake that Christine had baked, a subtle hint that the handsome teen was considering a career as a DJ.
Charles is passionate about music, but his younger brother Max seems interested in acting. After viewing “On The Heights” on Broadway, Cynthia joyfully uploaded a video of herself and her little boy dancing in the streets of New York.
Max’s mother was proud of him for taking an interest in the performing arts, but she also thought he might do well in the medical field. According to Cynthia, Max was courageous enough for his vaccine in November 2021, calling him a “trooper.”
