A RYANAIR employee shares their top tips and advice for eating aboard – as well as what they try to avoid.

And cabin crew can reportedly earn around £300 a month for flogging treats to hungry travellers – so beware of their overbearing sales pitch.

We all know that plane food can be very unappetizing once you are thousands of feet above the ground.

Ryanair has now released the worst and best items to be found on board by one flight attendant.

Surprisingly it was hot beverages that topped the refreshment leaderboard.

An anonymous employee stated that the hot chocolate and coffee were both excellent, especially the coffee.

“The coffee is proper filter stuff. I’d drink it.”

However, for those who love a sweet treat with their brews, staff rates them at the bottom of this pile, in particular Twixes.

They said, “Honestly, the cost of a bar chocolate onboard.”

“It’s £2.25 for a Twix. I wouldn’t go for that. I would bring my own with me.”

Ryanair has almost tripled the price of a 75g Tesco chocolate bar.

A second employee cautioned holidaymakers who were expecting to be fed on evening flights against relying on the airline.

They said, “A few weeks back I flew in the evening.”

“Ryanair stocks a bar in the morning and so on, you will always have enough.

“The bar was empty at the time I boarded. It was five hours flight to Tenerife.

“I spoke with this woman, she asked for food for her children, and I apologized. I told her that there is no food and there was nothing I could do.

“But for her it became my fault. She said I’m ‘useless’, it’s ‘my fault’ her kids are going to starve tonight. I ‘should be ashamed’.”

Emily, a cabin crew member shared how a traveller asked Emily to open the window from an onboard guest. “too hot”.

Another holidaymaker asked that the plane’s engine not be started because it was too noisy. “too noisy”.
