Ryan Coogler At Times Had To Break Up Dance Parties In Order To Shoot Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

Interview with Ebony, Oscar-winning production designer Hannah Beachler touched on Ryan Coogler’s approach to the film. She points out that Coogler is deeply in love with Black women, which one can feel. “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” — a film led by such characters as Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Princess Shuri (Letitia Wright), among others. Behind the scenes, she developed a sense of community among the Black women on the crew and cast, which led to occasional dance parties. “Ryan would be like, ‘Okay, y’all done? You know, we got to shoot this thing,'”Beachler recalls the incident with a smile.
