Robin Roberts is positive for COVID-19

“Good Morning America”Robin Roberts, anchor, revealed that she had tested positive for COVID-19 late Thursday. She was the reason she has not been on the morning airwaves.

“Appreciate the concern about my absence this week on @GMA. Unfortunately I tested positive for Covid. Grateful my symptoms have been mild and that I’m doing well. Looking forward to returning as soon as I can,”She Tweet.

This is not the ABC morning show’s first brush with COVID-19. In the early days, the pandemic was still in its infancy. Anchor George Stephanopoulos and host Michael Strahan both tested positive for the virus in January 2021. Tony Greer, the camera operator, died from the disease in April that same year. Roberts was also among those who paid tribute. Greer was her favorite. “talented”And “such a bright light,” adding, “You could just feel Tony’s beautiful spirit. You could feel it from a mile away. Roberts was also one the first talent to start broadcasting from home in march 2020. She invited her doctor on the program, explaining the value of social distance at that time.
