Robert Costa Joins CBS News As Chief Election, Campaign Correspondent

Robert Costa, who has been national political reporter at The Washington Post and was host of PBS’s Washington WeekAs chief election and campaign correspondent for CBS News, he will be joining CBS News.

Costa will join CBS News Washington on Feb. 13 and will be reporting for broadcast, streaming, or digital platforms.

As Costa is a prominent journalist in politics, this announcement is significant for CBS News. Costa and Bob Woodward were co-authors Peril, about the final year of Donald Trump’s presidency and the early tenure of Joe Biden. Since January 2014, Costa has been the Post’s national political reporter. Costa will still be with the Post, but he is leaving.
