Putin might have used ‘pig’Drones laden with explosives to explode Nord Stream’s gas pipeline in Bond-style plot

VLADIMIR Putin might have used drones called “pigs”Reports claim that he blew four holes in his Nord Stream gas pipelines.

Russian agents may have loaded explosives onto robots that were used to clean and repair undersea pipes, a plot that closely resembles a Bond movie scene.

Three weeks ago, the first photographs of the damage were released. This was three weeks after the pipes had been ripped open by a series explosions that caused mini-earthquakes to occur in the Baltic.

They reveal the gaping holes in inch-thick steel pipes. These are wrapped in concrete and buried underground to protect them against sabotage or other accidents.

Experts believe only explosives could have caused this damage. The pattern suggests that the blasts originated from within the tubes.

Russia is believed to be behind the explosions that sent gas prices skyrocketing in Europe.

It is now believed that the saboteurs used specially-designed pipeline inspection gauges known as “pigs”, which are also called pigs.

Fox News interviewed Dmitri Alperovitch, chief of think tank, for: “The easiest way for them to do so would have been to load up explosives inside the pipeline through a device called a pig.”

Sergey Serdyukov, Nord Stream 1’s technical director, previously stated to a Russian technical journal that they use pigs from the Rosen Group in Switzerland. reports energy news site Upstream.

They are then loaded onto the pipe at Portovaya, Russia’s compressor station. The pipe is then run 745 miles to Germany to verify the integrity of the seams.

They are meant to prevent corrosion-induced ruptures. However, it is possible they may have been used for sabotage.

It would have a striking resemblance to a scene from Pierce Brosnan’s 1999 film The World Is Not Enough.

Bond and Dr Jones rode on an electric horse to destroy a nuclear bomb. They were speeding through an oil pipe with another pig at 70 mph.

Yesterday, Danish police “powerful explosions” caused “extensive damage”To both the twin Nord Stream 1 and twin Nord Stream 2 pipes.

German investigators concluded that the explosions had been sabotage.

They have been accused of blaming Kremlin, but they have not made it public.

Sweden conducted its own investigation. A privately owned drone was used to capture close-up images of the damage.

‘Extreme force’

Footage Published by Expressen newspaperOne 165ft section shown in twisted steel pipe that was blown away to a depth 262ft.

“It is only an extreme force that can bend metal that thick in the way we are seeing,”Trond Larsen, a drone operator, said.

He also said he saw see “a very large impact on the seabed around the pipe”.

Previous theories have claimed a crack force of divers from a shadowy Russian special ops unit may have planted the explosives from above.

Spetsnaz frogmen – a secretive branch of the Russian military – and underwater drones could have been deployed to blow up the strategically-important supply route.

Another possibility is suggested by a British military source: Russian special ops may have discreetly laid mines from an unidentified commercial vessel and detonated them a few days or weeks later.

Experts have however pointed out that it would take a huge charge to break the pipes from the outside.

The pipes measure 4ft in diameter and are made of 1.6 inch thick steel. They are then wrapped in 4.3 inches worth of concrete. Each section weighs 24 tonnes.

The entire pipes are then buried under the seafloor in large trenches and covered with gravel.

“These kinds of leaks are described as a one-in-100,000-years kind of thing,” said former Shell scientist Jilles van den Beukel.

“The only way these kinds of things happen is sabotage.”

The four natural gas leaks that occurred on September 26th sent millions of tonnes of natural gas boiling to surface, posing a danger for shipping in the Baltic Sea.

Vladimir Putin had shut down Nord Stream 1 on August as a retaliation against sanctions placed on his bloody war with Ukraine.

Clearance for Nord Stream 2 was halted after Russia invaded on Feb 24,

Putin is being accused of using Europe’s record gas prices as a weapon against countries that support Ukraine.

This week, the tyrant offered to “open the taps”Through the one surviving branch Nord Stream 2 – rejected by Germany

The Kremlin claims it wasn’t behind the sabotage.

Putin’s PR man Dmitry Peskov claimed “elementary logic”The damage to the pipelines was clearly a blow for Russia’s interest.

The blasts sent millions of cubic metres of methane boiling to the sea’s surface
