Carole uploaded a picture of some of the Christmas gonks her party supplies business is selling.

She added to the Caption: “I’m going to need a few of these cheeky chaps this December, to hide around the house and make my grandchildren laugh.

Gonks were inspired by the gnomes of Nordic and Scandinavian mythology. They have seen a boom in popularity in Britain over recent years, particularly for Christmas decorations.

Carole has previously stated that she sometimes lets George and Charlotte decorate her Christmas tree.

Covid restrictions meant that this was not possible last year. She stated at the time that they would continue the tradition virtually.

In 2020, she said: “This year, I’ll ask them by video call to decide which decoration should go where. It may need to be tastefully rearranged later…!”

Doting Nan Carole often takes the children to Party Pieces where they pretend to run the business.

Fabulous Digital spoke with Phil Dampier, Royal expert. He said that Caroline took her children to Party Pieces where they were shopkeepers.

“Prince George goes out a lot with his grandmother Carole. They go to the beach there and they are very close.”

The young royals also enjoy games at the party supplies company, and are often treated with sweets and chips.

Carole’s company – slogan ‘magical parties for over 30 years’ – was set up in 1987 by Carole and hubby Michael.

Carole is featured on the company website and speaks about her children in a message for customers.

She says: “It’s always been a family business and all the children have played a part.

“James established our personalised photo cakes, Catherine started the 1st birthday side of the business, and Pippa developed the Party Pieces blog.”
