Phoebe Bridgers and Fred Durst of Snail Mail will appear in the A24 Horror Movie, ‘I Saw the Television Glow’

A who’s who of music talent will make appearances in an upcoming A24 horror film titled “I Saw the TV Glow,” including Phoebe Bridgers as part of Haley Dahl’s side project Sloppy Jane, Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst, Snail Mail’s Lindsey Jordan and King Woman.

Justice Smith and Brigette Leny-Paine will direct the cast of “I Saw the TV Glow,”Jane Schoenbrun is the film’s director and is currently in post-production. A week ago, production was wrapped.

The film is about two teenager outcasts (Smith, Lundy Pierce) who form a bond over their shared love for a frightening television show. The mysteriously cancelled show causes the boundaries between reality and TV to blur. Schoenbrun wrote and directed the script.

Other cast members include Helena Howard, Danielle Deadwyler, Amber Benson, Ian Foreman, Michael Maronna, Conner O’Malley, Emma Portner and Danny Tamberelli.

Emma Stone is producing the film under her banner Fruit Tree along with Ali Herting, Dave McCary, and Sarah Winshall from Smudge Films. Sam Intili also contributes.

A24 finances and handles worldwide releases “I Saw the TV Glow.”

Schoenbrun was the director of Schoenbrun’s debut feature film. “We’re All Going to the World’s Fair,”These films will be shown at the Sundance Film Festival 2021.

Bridgers was previously a bassist for Sloppy Jane, an avant-garde rock band fronted Dahl. However, both will appear in the film. Bridgers appeared in an earlier film. “Between Two Ferns”film, and she also starred as an episode of the series “ZIWE.”Durst’s screen history is longer. He previously directed the 2019 John Travolta movie “The Fanatic.”
