What happened in CSM Chapter 97?
Chapter 97 of the Chainsaw Man manga opened with Denji walking Makima’s dogs in a local park, where he meets Kishibe and says that he has eaten all of Makima and that she hasn’t revived yet.
A young girl moves closer to pet one of the dogs and decides to bite Denji after he tells her to leave the two of them alone for a private conversation – it’s the same bite as Makima. Kishibe said that the girl had been discovered recently in China. She was not Makima.
Denji realizes that Kishibe has disappeared before she can see her. The young girl leaps onto one of the dogs to tell Denji that her name was Nayuta. The two walk back to Denji’s house and fall asleep, with Denji noting how Nayuta appears to be an inexpensive devil to keep as she only wants to eat slices of bread.
In a dream, Denji and Pochita talk about the Control Devil’s dream of creating an equal relationship between humans and devils – Pochita says that Nayuta needs lots of hugs, just like how Denji did during his time with the mafia.
The chapter ends with another devil rampaging through Tokyo as the public begins to question the true motives and background of Chainsaw Man…Denji stands in a school uniform and prepares to battle the creature.
A trailer for Anime will be released next month
The Chainsaw Man anime will be released this Fall. The upcoming MAPPA version is certain to be one of the most anticipated new shows in 2022.
Good news! The next trailer has been confirmed to be shown at Crunchyroll Expo.
As reported by Comicbook, via Shonenleaks Twitter page, “Chainsawman Anime Trailer will be revealed in Crunchyroll Expo 2022 Officially confirmed by CR Staff. Expo will be held from August 5-7.”
Fans are advised to keep an eye on early August for the next official trailer for the CSM anime adaptation. This will likely be shared on Facebook just minutes after Crunchyroll Expo.
