Deadline reports that Apple is currently filming a documentary about Sidney Poitier (Hollywood Icon) following Friday’s passing. Reginald Hudlin will be directing and Oprah Winfrey will produce. Winfrey will be producing through her Harpo Productions and Network Entertainment.
The documentary has been under wraps for over a decade and was in production for more than a year. It’s an in-depth documentary on the life of Poitier, with the participation of his entire family. Apple Original Films will release the doc.
