He has also pleaded not guilty to 2021 charges that he tried to strangle his then-girlfriend following a fan convention in Oklahoma City last December; he’s due in court in October on one count of domestic assault and battery by strangulation and another count of domestic assault and battery.
CNN reports that Smith has reengaged with NYPD investigators after hearing about Ratray’s Oklahoma case.
Smith told CNN that she, her brother and a friend went to Ratray’s Manhattan apartment one night in 2017. Smith claimed that Ratray gave her a drink and she left feeling incapacitated. Smith was then assaulted for a long time.
The woman claimed she told many people who confirmed her story to CNN. She stated that she filed a police complaint a few more weeks later and was interviewed in November 2017 by a detective. In January, the victim filed a police report. A box was checked, which indicated that she did not wish to be prosecuted.
Smith, who was then living in Utah, flew back to New York after the meeting with prosecutors. But he was not allowed to return to Utah. “sad” “confused”The lack of further communication. Smith said a prosecutor from the city’s sex-crimes unit recently apologized for the way her case was handled, but it still was not clear whether an investigation into Ratray was active, dormant or remained closed.
