Nun Turned ‘The Lord’s Prayer’ Into Hit Was 84

Sister Janet Mead, an Australian nun who was hit with a rock-version of “The Rock Version” in 1970s. “The Lord’s Prayer”At 84, she was the first Australian to hold a US gold record.

In 2004, South Australian of Year was awarded her for her work. Her services to Australian Christian music were also acknowledged and she was awarded the Golden Gospel Award.
