Asteroid 2021RL3 is said to be anywhere between 160 feet to 360 feet wide.

The Elizabeth Tower, also known as Big Ben because of the bell it contains, is located in central London and measures 315 feet.

It is traveling at a staggering 50,000mph.

It is not expected to hit Earth.

It will be approximately 1,804,450 miles from Earth.

The nearest passing should occur around 22.30 GMT (18.30 ET).

It may seem like a million miles away, but in space terms it is very close.

Any fast moving space object that comes within around 4.65 million miles is considered to be “potentially hazardous” by cautious space organisations.

That’s why Nasa can comfortably label Asteroid 2021RL3 as a “close approach” asteroid.

For comparison, the Moon lies just 238,855 kilometers away.
