MultiVersus users were disappointed to learn that they must win more than 700 matches in order to earn Halloween merchandise

MULTIVERSUS has created a controversial barrier in order to unlock its Halloween items. Fans feel that this is forcing them into paying to get all the exclusives.

The game was a hit with fans as it featured characters from TV and films.

Fans are furious at the new MultiVersus event. MultiVersus players will need to win nearly 800 matches in order to earn the most recent skins and pay up.

MultiVersus Halloween will begin tomorrow (October 15th) and continue for one more month, until November 15.

This time, players can earn Candy by playing matches. These Candy can then be used to unlock four Halloween items.

The items include a Pumpkin patch profile icon, Jack-o-Lantern Emo Sticker, a Jack-o-Lantern Emote Sticker, a Mummy Reindog epic version, and a Calico Cake awesome variant.

Players will need to have 15,650 Candy in order to unlock all the items. Or, they can buy them with real money.

The most expensive item, the Calico Cake epic variant, a skin for Jake from Adventure Time, costs 12,000 Candy, or around $20 (£18).

For this skin to be viable, players must play in 1200 matches or win 606 matches.

Due to the event’s 31-day timeline, players will have to play 39 matches per day in order to obtain this skin.

Players can purchase a premium skin — at a minimum of $5 (£4.50) — to double the amount of candy earned, but they would then still have to win 300 games or participate in 600.

As calculated by VGCTwo players wearing premium skins would still need to win 261 matches to be eligible for all Halloween items.

Fans have been complaining about the high price of the items and how many matches are required to unlock them since the announcement.

These premium items are a burden on the game’s free-to-play nature.

These items will not give you an advantage in MultiVersus.

This hasn’t stopped fans’ disappointment that they probably will not be able to obtain these exclusive items.
