Mom Speaks Out after Suspect Flees into Her Family’s SUV

A police chase that involved a stolen vehicle in Franklin, Ohio has left a family lucky to be alive.

Samantha Sparkman, her mother, and Hannah and Holly Sparkman, were in their SUVs in Walmart’s parking lot. They were back-to-school shopping.

A police officer chased the suspect into the parking lot, and said he was keeping his distance, because there could be shoppers there.

But the driver he was chasing wasn’t so careful. Police say the fleeing suspect hit Sparkman’s vehicle, flipping it over.

The suspect ran away before being captured by passers-by and taken into custody

The mother and her two daughters, who were still trapped in the vehicle that was overturned, begged for their freedom.

“It was scary. It was petrifying. It was the worst day of my entire life,”Sparkman stated that.

To save the family, first responders used their jaws of death. The family stated that one of the girls was pulled out through the windshield while the other was saved through a hole in the roof.

Amazingly, Holly and mom were able to walk away with just a few bruises and scratches from the accident. Hannah sustained a fractured collar bone.

Mom knows that despite what happened, they were lucky.

“I absolutely could have lost a child,”Sparkman spoke.

The suspect is currently in the county jail facing more than half a dozen charges.
