McCann collapsed as candidates and British politicians Liz Truss & Rishi Sunak debated about the vacant Prime Minister position.
The video, caught by TalkTV, captures Truss’ reaction to McCann’s fainting. As he was answering a question, Truss witnessed McCann fall and then abruptly stopped speaking. “Oh my god,”Truss said this before Truss stepped out of camera and looked shaken.
“Kate McCann fainted on air tonight and although she is fine, the medical advice was that we shouldn’t continue with the debate. We apologise to our viewers and listeners,” TalkTV Tweet.
Truss & Sunak have been announced as the final two candidates in the race to be the winner. ReplaceBoris Johnson, who AnnouncementHe had announced that he would be stepping down as the leader and chief of the conservative party earlier in the month.
Sunak won 137 votes and Truss received 113 votes to beat Penny Mordaunt, International Trade Minister. Eight candidates were eligible for the first round, with five more. The final two candidates will continue their campaign and travel across the country to promote themselves.
The conservative party will Announce their selection for the party’s new leader on Sept. 5, who will likely take over the position Sept. 6.
