Michelle Rodriguez Was Jailed for the Right Reason

Michelle Rodriguez was filming when Michelle Rodriguez became a jailbird. “Lost”Hawaii The Smoking Gun reports that following a heavy night out in December 2005, Rodriguez and her co-star, Cynthia Watros, were busted for drunk driving as they attempted to navigate the notoriously twisty Honolulu highway. They were both charged with DUI and given bail of $500.

Watros escaped incarceration, but Rodriguez did not pass “Go.”She was sent straight to jail and served five days of severe time. But the true punishment was yet to come. Rodriguez and Watros’ party-hearty ‘tudes resulted in the actors being written off the show. According to TV GuideRodriguez and Watros both ended up in the wrong end of the law after they were caught. “Lost” characters were bumped off — in the same episode no less.

Rodriguez was yet to learn from her mistakes. After being arrested for violating parole, Rodriguez’ legal woes did not end in 2006. Per TMZ

She was sentenced to 60-days imprisonment, but she served only four hours because of overcrowding. Rodriguez was again sent back one year later after violating her parole terms. Reuters reported that she spent the holidays in Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton’s cooler of choice, the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California. Rodriguez, however, was not released in the blink of an eyes, as Hilty or LiLo were. She was hospitalized for six months.
