Man Utd fans fire Cristiano Ronaldo shots as woeful Juventus drop into relegation zone

It wasn’t long ago that some Juventus supporters thought Cristiano Ronaldo was holding them back.

Imagine the joy Manchester United fans felt when they saw a Ronaldoless Juve in the Serie A relegation area.

On Sunday, the Old Lady faced AC Milan and looked on track for three points. Alvaro Morata gave them the lead in just four minutes.

Ante Rebic, however, broke the hearts of home fans with a late equalizer at the Allianz Stadium.

Juventus now sit 18th in league table, just above Salernitana and Cagliari, thanks to the 1-1 tie.

After only a handful of games, the Turin giants are eight points off top spot and have a mountain to climb if they want to mount a realistic title challenge.

Many Juventus fans thought that their team would improve after Ronaldo’s departure. However, this poor start has shocked many.

This has not been the case. It is therefore no surprise that United supporters took to social media to rejoice in the fact the Old Lady are struggling.

One fan wrote on Twitter: “Looks like he was holding them back… from the abyss.”

Someone else gloated: “Looks like they had bigger problems than Ronaldo after all, eh.”

Another user added: “Ronaldo was hiding the cracks along with De Ligt and a few others. Now it’s burst wide open. T.”

A fifth person commented: “Ok. Truth is, Cristiano Ronaldo was the one keeping them afloat.”

“I hope now it’s has sunk in to the Juve fan’s that Cristiano Ronaldo wasn’t the problem but rather the solution but needed a bit more help from other player’s and unfortunately couldn’t get it,” added another United fan.

Juventus may struggle without Ronaldo, however Manchester United seem to be enjoying the return of their Portuguese hero.

Ronaldo pulled the Red Devils level against West Ham after scoring a brace against Newcastle on Saturday and the opener in Tuesday’s 2-1 loss against Young Boys.
