Paramount Pictures now has a third Quiet PlaceThe movie is not a sequel, but is still in development. A Quiet Place Part IIIt will be a spinoff. Original plan was for Loving’s Jeff Nichols to direct, but he exited the project back in October. Fortunately, word’s come in that a new director has finally been hired to helm the Quiet Place spinoff.
After making a splash in 2021 wiring, and directing Nicolas Cage’s movie, PigMichael Sarnoski, the director of the upcoming project, is currently in negotiations Quiet PlaceAccording to spinoff Deadline. Assuming a deal is finalized, Sarnoski will likely be working off of the script Jeff Nichols wrote before his departure, as there hasn’t been any mention of a new screenwriter coming aboard. John Krasinski, Allyson Seeger and Andrew Form will produce this spinoff along with Brad Fuller and Brad Fuller of Platinum Dunes through their Sunday Night production company.
For those who missed the opportunity PigThe movie, which was released on July 16, 2021, stars Nicolas Cage as Rob Feld, a former chef who now lives in the wilderness as an truffle forager. Rob goes to Portland, Oregon in order to recover his prize-winning porc. However, Pig only made $3.8 million at the box office, it was met with critical acclaim and netted Cage the St. Louis Film Critics Association’s Best Actor award and Michael Sarnoski a Best Directorial Debut win from the National Board of Review Awards. All we know so far is this: A Quiet Place’s spinoff is that it’s based off an original idea from John Krasinski, who co-wrote, directed and appeared in the first two Quiet PlaceFilms (though he appeared in only one movie). Part II). Neither Krasinski nor Emily Blunt are expected to reprise their roles as Lee and Evelyn Abbot for this spinoff, though that’s not a 100% guarantee. The spinoff’s goal is to develop the A Quiet PlaceParamount Pictures will continue to build upon this universe over the next years, transforming it from a film franchise to property.
The first two Quiet Place movies are among Paramount’s biggest success in recent years. A Quiet PlaceThe 2018 release of ranked at 96% on Rotten Tomatoes, and earned over $350,000,000 worldwide. Its follow-up, however, has a 91% Tomatometer score, and has collected just over $297 million at global box office.
