Ant McPartlin’s ex-wife Lisa Armstrong has made it clear, on several occasions, that there is no love lost between her and her former spouse.
In recent weeks, Lisa grabbed headlines when she hit out at Ant and Dec’s team following their most recent National Television Award win.
Lisa – who was married to Ant for 12 years before they ended their romance in 2018 – proved she was seething when the pair picked up the Best Presenter award for the twentieth year in a row by posting a sassy remark below a tribute post to the TV stars, uploaded on social media by PR guru Simon Jones.
And a therapist believes that Lisa’s cutting remark reveals that she is “haunted” by how she feels she was treated by her ex-husband – who has since remarried his former PA Anne-Marie Corbett.
After analyzing Lisa’s comment and decision to publicly hit out, Psychological therapist Emma Kenny told Closer magazine that Lisa is “likely” to no longer have emotional feelings for her ex but that she seems to feel as if she is ” collateral damage.”
“It’s been nearly fours years since their marriage ended, so it’s highly likely Lisa is over Ant- but what she probably hasn’t got over is how unfairly she feels she was treated,” the professional counselor told.
“She posted that messaged very openly, so she know itis going to get picked up, and she made it clear who she was directing at, which is ants management. She’s letting them know that ant and dec have got to where they are but she feels it’s been done at her expense. She is basically saying she is collateral damage.”
Emma added: “She still appears haunted by the relationship and the betrayal.”
Earlier this month, Geordie pair Ant and Dec made history when they won the NTAs Best Presenter award for the twentieth year in a row.
In celebration of the win, Ant and Dec’s PR guru Simon Jones paid tribute to the stars – which led to Lisa taking to the comments section of the post to leave a scathing remark.
Simon uploaded a snap of Ant and Dec alongside a caption writing: “20 years! So so proud of my amazing friends Ant and Dec for winning Best TV Presenter at the NTA’s for the 20th year in a row! And proud to say I have been with them at the awards every year of those 20 wins. We’ve been on a brilliant journey so far and long may it continue.”
Taking a savage swipe at her ex-husband and his PR team, Lisa penned below: “And you don’t care who you screw over in the process. Well done.”
PR professional Simon was having none of what Lisa had to say and he furiously hit back at her, telling her to ‘move on with her life and stop blaming other people for her mistakes.
Simon clapped back: “Lisa, please don’t come on to my Instagram with your negativity and false accusations.
“It really is about time you moved on and got on with your life, and stopped unfairly blaming other people for your mistakes.”
Following the breakdown of her marriage, Lisa has found love again with her boyfriend James Green.
