Lenny Von Dohlen played Harold Smith in the hit series “Twin Peaks,”He has passed away. He was 63.
His sister confirmed his passing Friday On Facebook. It was not possible to give cause.
Dohlen played Harold Smith, the eccentric, soft-spoken shut-in who kept Laura Palmer’s diary safely hidden away – until it was stolen, and the character hanged himself out of grief. His murder was not the only thing that did it. “Twin Peaks” world.
Like many of David Lynch’s “Twin Peaks”Von Dohlen, an actor, would be most well-known for his small role. This was despite having a successful acting career in TV and film. Von Dohlen has starred in numerous movies over the years, as well as recurring roles on shows such as “CSI: Miami,” “Psych”And “Criminal Minds.”
His death occurs less than one month later “Twin Peaks”Julee Cruise, a Lynch collaborator and theme singer, died aged 65.

He is survived by his daughter Hazel Van Dohlen and his sister Catherine.
