Kevin Bacon has joined The Cast of “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley,”It has been learned.
Franchise star Eddie Murphy returns along with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Taylor Paige who also star in the third sequel to the 1984 action comedy classic, which follows Detroit cop Axel Foley (Murphy) to Los Angeles, where he gets into trouble investigating the death of a friend.
Also, it was reported that there were four originals last week “Beverly Hills Cop” cast members – Judge Reinhold, Paul Reiser, John Ashton and Bronson Pinchot – are also joining the cast.
Mark Molloy is the director of the Netflix film.“Apple At Work – The Underdogs”) and written by Will Beall (“Aquaman,” “Zack Snyder’s Justice League”).
Details about Bacon’s role along with plot details are being kept under wraps.
Producers are Chad Oman and Jerry Bruckheimer for Jerry Bruckheimer Films. Ray Angelic, Charisse Webster, and Charisse Hewitt are the executive producers. Jerry Bruckheimer Films co-produces Melissa Reid.
Bacon most recently starred in Julia Roberts’ “Leave the World Behind”Netflix. The thriller film starred Bacon last year. “You Should Have Left” alongside Amanda Seyfried. Bacon also explored the world of podcasts this year with Funny or Die and Spotify. “The Last Degree of Kevin Bacon,”A scripted comedy podcast series where Kevin satirizes himself. Bacon can be seen currently on the Showtime hit series. “City on a Hill”Aldis hostess Aldis, who recently wrapped its second season. It was renewed for the third season. This year’s premiere will be hosted by Bacon. Bacon also stars in the show and was the executive producer. He also directed the first episode. Kevin will appear alongside Travis Fimmel (star) and Colson Baker (director) in the action thriller. “One Way” and in Legendary’s reboot of “The Toxic Avenger.”
