Kelsey Grammer discusses strained relationships with her daughter

Kelsey Grammer will be playing an important role in the Christmas movie. 12 days of Christmas Eve, that he’s prepared for his whole life. Spencer Grammer plays Spencer Grammer’s daughter in the movie. The two portray a dysfunctional father/daughter relationship.

Turns out, the two didn’t have to do much acting in the movie. They have had a difficult relationship for years.

A recent interview was conducted with PeopleKelsey acknowledged. He and his daughter had been in a fraught relationship ever since they were children. The two became strained when Kelsey split from Spencer’s mom, actress Doreen Alderman. Spencer was still a toddler.

The actor shared how he didn’t have much time to spend with his young family when Spencer was born in 1983. Kelsey assumed the role of Dr. Frasier Crane in 1983. Cheers. The show called for a grueling 20-hour workday that just didn’t allow him to see his daughter very much.

“I certainly regret I let her down a couple of times,” Kelsey made the comment. “Obviously she was a child of divorce.” The actor continued to add, “It was hard on us.”

They have built a strong relationship despite being separated for years. Kelsey also expressed gratitude for the ability of the two to work things out. It was a difficult road, however, for the father-daughter duo to reach where they are today.

Kelsey’s first pitch 12 days of Christmas EveHe realized the tension between Spencer and his father on-screen daughter was mirroring the relationship between them.

This movie is about a man who prioritizes his business over his family. Kelsey was clear about the plot and chose his daughter to play the role of the father in the film.

“It seemed like the right idea to me,” Kelsey remembered. However, he didn’t know if Spencer would want to do it. “I said, ‘We’ll have to make sure she wants to,’ because you never know,” Kelsey stated. “We blow hot and cold like all fathers and daughters do.”

Spencer hesitated at first when she was offered the role. The actress quickly accepted the role and realized that it was a great opportunity to share the screen with her father.

“There’s definitely aspects of this movie that resonate with me personally,” Spencer made the comment. “First of all, playing daughter to your actual father is something unique. He’s been such an incredible influence on my craft and my performances and also my work ethic, so working with him was actually quite a pleasure.”

She said that it was a healing experience for both her and her dad. “Honestly for me, for that month that we shot, it was incredibly fun and wonderful to spend time with my dad,” She said. “I think it was really healing for us.” Spencer completed the joke with a laugh. “Thank you Lifetime, for the therapy!”
