Katy Perry’s Music Rights Sold for a Huge Amount of Money You Willn’t Believe

After hearing the total, you’ll see fireworks.

Katy Perry just sold the rights to her music—including hits such as “Teenage Dream,” “Hot N Cold” and “California Gurls”—to Litmus Music, which launched in 2022 and was co-founded by former Capitol Records president Dan McCarroll

The deal is worth $225,000,000.

Dan was quick, despite the Grammy-winning singer’s silence on recent musical developments, to praise Katy and her decade of top chart hits.

He said that Katy Perry has been a visionary creative who is making a significant impact on music, TV and film. Variety

Sept. 18. I’m honored to partner with her once again, and help Litmus manage Litmus’ incredible repertoire.

The news comes three years after the 38-year-old last released new music with her 5th studio album Smile back in 2020. Katy doesn’t want to abandon her career in music. In fact, she is wanting to start again—this time with a new source of inspiration: her and fiancé Orlando BloomDaughter of a Daisy Dove.
