Josh Gad Wants Disney World’s Epcot To Add A New Country, And His Idea Sounds Solid

According to Twitter, Josh Gad’s family has been mildly obsessed with EncantoIt dropped on Disney+ on Christmas Eve. According to social media, his family isn’t the only one. Gad and Co. want more EncantoIn their lives, that means an entire Colombia area of Epcot. Encanto attraction. And honestly, I’m here for it.

This is actually an excellent idea for many reasons. The obvious reason is that South America has not been represented at the World Showcase. There have been rumors of a Brazil pavilion being on the drawing board for years but they’ve never materialized. Even if they did, Brazil is so distinct from the rest that it barely represents the whole continent. At least one pavilion representing South America is really necessary if we’re going to call it a World Showcase, two would be better.

However, if we are able to get a Colombia pavilion it will need an attraction. This one is built by itself. The Casita’s ride-through attraction makes perfect sense. Make it happen. Similar to the Haunted MansionIt shows the magic of the house, and not ghosts. This idea is perfect because Disney has made multiple versions of the Haunted House in the years since opening. They are also much more technologically advanced. This would be a fantastic way to bring some of the additions back into the domestic parks.

But it should be said that making a Colombia pavilion at Epcot isn’t the only way to bring EncantoIn the parks. Some Disney Parks fansMany have suggested that an Epcot pavilion would be too small. Instead, take the space at Disney’s Animal Kingdom currently given to Dinoland U.S.A, which is clearly In need of a complete overhaulCreate a whole land dedicated to South America.

Animal Kingdom, like Epcot, does not have a dedicated South America area, but it does have lands that are dedicated to Africa or Asia. This area could be expanded with more animals and the introduction of dozens more species.

It will take some time before permanent additions to parks are made. EncantoIt is possible that it will never happen. The movie is extremely popular, but Disney wants to make sure that the interest lasts and that people will continue to enjoy this movie for many years before making a decision. There are many other countries that have enjoyed the movie’s popularity. Lobbying to See in EpcotColombia will also have competition.
