John Wick 4’s Chad Stahleski On The Pressure Of Finding New Crazy Action Sequences For Keanu Reeves

The John WickSeries has been a high-performance platform that consistently outperforms itself with every new installment. Keanu Reeves’ once-retired hitman sees the stakes increasing and the action getting more brutal with every continuing installment’s debut. The. Coming movie John WickChad Stahelski, the director, has revealed that he is constantly challenged to come up with new and unusual action sequences to help his star.

When speaking with THRHis work in producing the Netflix hit Day Shift, a detour into Stahelski’s third solo outing as a John WickDirector was bound to happen. This is the fourth installment in the highly anticipated saga. This was delayed to 2023, John Wick: Chapter 4will be putting in a lot of effort to get the job done on the other end. Chad Stahelski offered this comment on this process:

I could also rant and rave about the art of outdoing myself. We have gained the trust of some execs because of our success. So when I say, ‘Keanu is going to ride a horse, he’s going to slide cars around the Arc [de Triomphe] and we’re going to have big waterfall set with dogs biting crotches,’ people take me a little bit more seriously and say, ‘I don’t understand how he’s going to do it, but that’ll probably look good.’ So there’s better trust between us now, and they’re allowing it to happen.

Judging by The trailer John Wick released at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, it looks like the challenge of escalating the action has been met yet again. This is especially true of those small glimpses we’ve gotten of Keanu Reeves in action against Donny Yen, one of many New John WickCast members who are itching to cash in that bounty on poor Jonathan’s head.

Yet, reading the teases of danger that Chad Stahelski left in the quote above, it seems like John Wick Chapter 4 The trailer kind of undersells the ride ahead. If this is what Stahelski is comfortable with divulging under a year out from release, what’s hiding in the shadows? Whatever the case may be, Lionsgate’s suits can trust Team Wick to land the landing, regardless of how ridiculous the task might sound.

The next installment will feature a sequel in which waterfalls, dogs that bite, and drifting around Paris landmarks are all up for discussion. John WickMovie HasYou might be concealing something extraordinary. It’s the game that Chad Stahelski and his team play every time out. While he’s certainly not going to bitch and moan about it, you can bet that all involved are going to put the pedal to the floor and keep aiming higher with every new film.

John Wick: Chapter 4The film will arrive in theatres on March 24, 2023. John Wick 5Still very much on the agenda. It won’t be the back-to-back experience that was previously promised, but that just means there’s more time to really boost the stunts for that movie’s script. That could also mean potentially bringing back Halle Berry’s Sofia, who sadly will not be in John Wick.
