Joey Chestnut’s tackling of Darth Vader masked man has left fans impressed

Joey Chestnut not only won his fifteenth title but his tackling skills also caught the attention of many after he locked a Darth Vader mask wearing protestor in a headlock.

The video has gone viral on Twitter as one couldn’t overlook the fact that the champion won the Nathan Hot dog Eating Contest 2022 despite being interrupted during the competition.

And, what makes his action more commendable is the fact that he was injured on one leg and yet managed to deal with the stage-crashing-protestor on his own without any help.

The hot dog eating champion didn’t take long to realize he was being interrupted, as he put the protestor in a headlock and pushed him aside. Quickly, he resumed eating hot dogs and earned the ultimate title.

The sign read, “Expose Smithfield’s Death Star”The name Smithfield Food is apparent as it refers to Smithfield Food’s pork producer. Death Star because he was wearing the Darth Vader Mask.

Twitter praises his courage

As much as Joey’s win has impressed his fans, they can’t stop raving about his moment with the protestor.

“Good for you Joey Chestnut!!! Congratulations I’m guessing you won, but you got the Darth Vader out of there!!!,” Tweeted one.

Leg injury didn’t stop him from winning

Joey’s latest win didn’t come without obstacles.

As if a stage-crashing protestor wasn’t enough, he also had to compete with an injury on one of his legs. If you’ve seen Joey’s entrance to the competition, he walked in wearing a surgical boot as he supported himself on crutches.
