Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet have called it quits after 16 years together and four years of marriage – and fans were devastated.
The 42-year-old Game of Thrones actor and theCosby Show actress, 54, turned to Instagram on Wednesday to announce their separation in a joint statement.
It read: “We have all felt the squeeze and changes of these transformational times… A revolution is unfolding and our family is of no exception… feeling and growing from the seismic shifts occurring.
“The love between us carries on, evolving in ways it wishes to be known and lived. We free each other to be who we are learning to become.
They continued: “Our devotion unwavering to this sacred life & our Children,” they added. “Teaching our Children What’s possible ~ Living the Prayer.
“May Love Prevail,” they added, signing off as “J & L.”
The pair have two children together: Lola, 14, and son Nakoa-Wolf, 13. Bonet also has an elder daughter, actress, singer, and model, Zoë Kravitz, 33, with her ex-husband Lenny Kravitz.

Naturally, fans turned to Twitter to express their heartbreak at the unexpected news.
“This makes me sad,” one user tweeted, “I always thought they were such a sweet, devoted couple. Wishing them both the best as they move on.”
Another joked: “Jason Momoa or Lisa Bonet (whoever asks first) i can be a shoulder to cry on during this very difficult time in your life.”
To rub salt in fans’ wounds, a snippet of Momoa’s declaration of love towards Bonet resurfaced online.
In an interview with James Corden, the Aquaman star said: “It was more than love at first sight. I saw her on TV and said something like, ‘Mom, I want her.’
“I thought, ‘I’ll follow you for the rest of my life and I’ll have you.’
“I’ve always wanted to meet her. She has always been a queen.”
