She explained that she realized it was metamerism when she saw how colours can change in different lighting conditions.
One commenter wondered what the outside looks like under the sun. The TikToker replied by posting a video.
While it appeared brown, she was in artificial lighting and was puzzled to see it again when she got out in the sunlight.
Unsatisfied, she asked her audience to upload a clip in which she wore the hat around her house while recording.
She uploaded a video that showed the house changing from brown to green while she was moving through it.
Some people are skeptical and accuse her of editing the video. In response, she brought the hat to her parent’s house to get her family’s take on the colour.
They were, like her TikTok viewers, confused.
