It’s only been a little under a year since we last saw the MonsterVerse rear its head With Godzilla vs. Kong,But, the Titans’ fans are eager for more. Fans are eagerly awaiting the potential good news that a tweet from an important source has just sent. While this might seem like a picture from a clock, it could be very important. GodzillaFans, this could be a sign that a new movie is on the way.
Speculation has been kicked off thanks to Toho’s official Godzilla Twitter feed, and the cryptic image that the kaiju’s corporate creators have shared. It’s not a flashy vista or a wide shot of destruction, but a simple wall clock being shown in this supposed tease. But you can still take a look at this image to see if there is anything that stands out.
It’s admittedly not much to go on, as it’s just a 24-hour clock that’s set to 9 AM. It looks more classical than it seems. GodzillaThis could indicate that a new remastered classic is on the horizon. It’s worth noting that this is coming from Toho’s official account for the Godzilla franchise, and not from any of the MonsterVerse connected profiles we’ve seen in the past.
Such clues could signal the possibility for another movie in the gargantuan tradition, but not as a sequel. This could indicate that Toho may announce their own movie. Godzilla film that’s independent of the MonsterVerse. This was the last time this happened. the release of 2016’s Shin GodzillaThe, which entertained huge lizard lovers in-between 2014 Godzilla reboot and 2017’s Skull Island is Kong.
However, The MonsterVerse appears to still be in operation. It didn’t take long for Warner Bros. and Legendary to tap Godzilla vs. Kong director Adam Wingard forDevelopment duties for a possible follow-up; and there’s been no word on whether or not that’s moving forward. Perhaps Toho is helping to lighten the flames for the mysterious next chapter. 9 AM is the first hint as to where it is going.
2022 is just beginning, and there’s plenty of room for mysteries to present themselves, before revealing the ultimate truth. Godzilla, Kong or any other titan or kaiju could be waiting at the other end of whatever clock stands for. While time seems to be on our side, there’s something else out there. We just have to wait for it to arrive at the appropriate hour. Let’s hope it’s something friendly.
