The Wakanda Forever trailer features No Woman No Cry. It was originally written by Bob Marley, The Wailers, but it has been covered by Tems. No Woman No Man then transitions to Kendrick Lamar’s Alright.

Marley recorded the song on 1974’s studio album Natty Dread. It has been covered many times by artists like Nina Simone, The Fugees and Boney M.

Tems has spoken about her love for Bob Marley’s music before, and in a recent interview with BillboardShe said that if she could remix a song, it would be “Is This Love or No Woman Don’t Cry because those are one of my favourites.”

Tems: Who are you?

Tems is an artist who first rose to fame after featuring on WizKid’s 2020 song Essence. It became the first Nigerian single to chart on the Billboard Hot 100. Tems was born in Lagos but was raised in Lekki, the UK and Ajah.

In 2020, she released an EP called For Broken Ears. She also released another EP called If Orange Was a Place in 2021.

Tems stated in a 2021 interview that she was referring to her music for NME. Interview: “I’m always telling my story in my songs.
