Mimi Keene has become one of the standout stars of series three of Netflix’s Sex Education with fans oogling over her character’s gorgeous transformation.

Ruby Matthews is Ruby, the meanest and most popular girl at school. But, in the new series, we get to see a more sophisticated side of the actress.

Ruby meets Otis Milburn, the main character in the series. She dresses up as Christina Aguilera from the 2000s at a party and makes a run for it.

Ruby’s behavior set the tone for the rest. She jumped Otis’ bones, and wore scantily-clad clothes throughout the series.

But what else do we know about Mimi? The Central Recorder looks into Mimi’s life and reveals where fans might recognize her from.

The actress, 23, hails from Hertfordshire where the series’ parts were set.

The star of the future studied theater arts at Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts, London, from 2009 to 2014. Her acting accomplishments prove that all of her hard work paid off.

Other well-known school alumni include stars such as Naomi Campbell, Russell Brand and Pixie Lott.

Mimi currently resides in London and continues to work on her TV career.

Mimi was a regular on a British soap opera before she took the role of Sex Education.

Mimi Williams was a star who spent a long time on Eastenders, a London soap.

The performer first debuted on the show in 2013 and spent a further two years playing Cindy.

Mimi was first introduced to soap in 1998. She was played by four different actresses during 17 years.

Her most famous storyline was when she was 14 and became pregnant. Later, her involvement in a murder investigation led to her being portrayed by four different actresses.

Since then, she’s added many projects to her roster and in 2019 she branched into the world of feature films.

Mimi was the younger version of the main role she shared with Lily Collins in Tolkein. She then went on to land a role in Close the next year.

The talented actress has also appeared in many other TV and film shows since her debut on CBBC’s Sadie J (2013). These included Our Girl, Casualty, and The Escape.

Going back to her Sex Education era, fans may find it comical to know that Ruby’s pup — whom she keeps in her locker throughout the school day — is played by the actress’s real-life pooch, Baby.

In an interview with Glamour, Mimi said: “I’ve been trying to land her a role for the past three years, and she’s just landed it this season.”

“I’m a proud mother. I’ve been trying to get her in since season one – I’ve been, like, slowly, slowly, bringing her with me every day, letting everyone get to know her,” she later told RadioTimes.

It’s rumoured that the stunner isn’t dating anybody at the moment, as the brunette bombshell is most likely too busy bossing it with her glitzy career.

Mimi is not a screen queen. She loves to travel and party with her friends.

Mimi has earned a pretty good living from acting and television roles, even though she is just starting out in her career.

Her exact net worth isn’t officially known, but some publications have estimated that she has a net worth of between £724,395 to £1.4 million in 2021.
