Prue, 81, will return to screens on Tuesday alongside Paul Hollywood and co-hosts Noel Fielding and Matt Lucas for a new series of Bake Off.

The star, who was last seen on Channel 4, has been busy decorating her new home with her husband John Playfair since then.

Similar to their wardrobe choices Prue and her clothes-designing husband John Playfair have not scrimped on their new home’s colour.

The bold chef has chosen to add sunshine yellow accents to the entire kitchen, including the cupboards, walls and curtains.

The kitchen is bright and spacious, with a large island that has been decorated in yellow to match the blinds.

Prue’s “most important room in the house” features a towering utensils holder, fit for her wooden spoons and baking utensils.

The baking ingredients were neatly organized in labelled jars with yellow shelves, behind large dining tables and chairs.

To continue the bright theme, the chairs are also available in green and yellow to match the modern and sleek kitchen.

Prue said of her bright kitchen earlier this year: “It’s important our kitchens reflect our personality – for me that means injecting a bit of colour.”

Elsewhere in the house, there are further pops of colour – including a red-painted wall in the living room, which features pink sofas.

You can see a huge book shelf stuffed with books. Art is also displayed on the walls.

Another room in the house is dark teal. More art is scattered throughout the space to add personality.

“Luckily my husband loves colour as much as me which is why the whole house is FULL of colour,” Prue wrote to her Instagram followers in February.

“Creating this dream home has been so exciting. From a blank page to this,” Along with more snaps of her yellow cooking, she wrote to her Instagram followers in February.

Tonight will see the new Bake Off contestants enter the tent. Prue will appear on the new series.

Co-host Matt said of the filming earlier this year: “We’re going into a bubble, so we can all taste each other’s bakes and there can be handshakes and all sorts.”

During filming last October cast and crew quarantined together for six weeks, living in a self-contained biosphere so they did not have to socially distance.

Down Hall, Essex was the location for hosts, judges and contestants.

Access to temperature controls and antibacterial gel were some of the safety measures taken at the production village.
