I’m Glad My Mom DiedMcCurdy also named her 2020 one-woman performance “Spring”, after the title she chose for the book. McCurdy has opened up about the reasons she chose the title.

A new interview was conducted with The New York TimesJennette Mccurdy was open about her memoir. In it, she discusses her life as a child actor and her abusive relationship to her mother. McCurdy spoke out about how she got the title and the amount of time it took.

I feel like I’ve done the processing and put in the work to earn a title or a thought that feels provocative.

McCurdy has spoken out about the abuse her mother Debra McCurdy made of McCurdy in past.. The actress, who died from breast cancer in 2013, is now putting out a book that reflects all she experienced. McCurdy smiles and holds an urn on the cover of her memoir.

The title of the memoir was a hit with fans, but not everyone was happy. Jennette McCurdy’s oldest brother, Marcus McCurdy, revealed that one family member doesn’t so much like the title. He supports his sister and her memoir, even though there are tensions within the family.

This title upsets our grandmother. It’s more of a coping mechanism. It’s possible to be like ‘Woe is me, my life is horrible.’Or, you can find the humor in things that are truly tragic.

Although Jennette McCurdy didn’t have much support from her grandmother, she still has plenty of support, and it’s not just about the memoir.
