How to stream Grimcutty

The horror genre’s for life, not just October.

The fans of this beloved genre are undoubtedly some of the most passionate people in the world. There have been many movies and shows to celebrate in 2022.

With the likes of Smile earning acclaim and Michael Myers returning in Halloween Ends, it’s a big month and director John William Ross’ Grimcutty makes it that little bit bigger.

Inspired by the infamous Momo challenge that swept the internet back in 2018, the film isn’t want to miss. To make sure you don’t, let’s address the Grimcutty streaming situation and where to watch.

Where can I watch Grimcutty online?

Grimcutty can be streamed on Hulu or Disney+.

The movie was released on Monday, 10 October 2022. As you may know, territories such as the UK still don’t have Hulu but a string of Hulu exclusives have made their way to Disney+ where Hulu isn’t available.

Some examples of previous year’s work include Predator prequel Prey and Not Okay starring Zoey Deutch.

So, if you’re in the US you’ll find it on Hulu but not Disney+.

As for what to expect, Grimcutty, focuses on Asha, a teenage girl who finds the family threatened by an internet meme made flesh in the wake of her parents’ hysteria.

‘I feel like people take it for granted’

The film’s director was recently asked about his influences on the project during a conversation with Laughing Place and didn’t disappoint:

“I could name a lot of horror films, [but] filmmakers, I’m not sure. I took a lot of inspiration for this movie from Wes Craven. I think Wes Craven is kind of underrated in terms of his directing style. I feel like people take it for granted, but the way he films things chasing you is really terrifying.”

He continued: “…I was trying to do some shots in Grimcutty that paid homage to that, where she’s running through a space and he’s running through the same space, so you can see how far away he is from her. So for this movie in particular, I did look at some of those Wes Craven movies.”
