Craft shears
You will need to use shears to create the honeycomb.
For the creation of some, simply place an iron ingot into the middle slot on your crafting table, and another in the lower-left slot.
You now have all the equipment you need to hunt honey.

Find a nest of bees
You will now need to locate a bee colony, which is usually found in a tree that has bees buzzing about it.

During the day, and when it is not raining the bees will spread out looking for pollen. Then they return to their nest and fill the level one by one.
When the limit is reached the honey will begin to leak out of its nest.
All you need to do is light a fire
It is best to make a fire under the nest of bees or to build a campfire five blocks beneath it.
The reason is that once you begin taking the honey, bees will start attacking you until they sting and poison you.
The smoke from the fireplace can calm the bees, and prevent them from following you.
Honey is best harvested
As the nest drops to zero, you can approach it and grab three honeycomb units with your shears.
The bee nest can be used as many times you like, as long as there are still bees around.
How to use honeycombs in Minecraft
We’ve already mentioned that you can make multiple objects from your honeycomb.
You can make a beehive, which can hold up to three bees at one time. It will eventually yield more honeycomb and you won’t have to travel all the way to the nest.
You can lure them with flowers, but they won’t come with the bees.
It is easy to create by filling the top and bottom of your crafting table’s rows with planks, and the middle row with honeycombs.
For light, you can also make candles using flint or steel.
Place one piece string over one piece honeycomb on your crafting table to make one.
You can also create a Honeycomb Block – which looks exactly like a Honeycomb.
Simply form a square using four honeycomb pieces on your crafting table.
You can also make waxed copper to protect copper objects from oxidizing.
You can make waxed copper by combining one piece of honeycomb and any copper object.
