How to Get Glowing Skin and Prevent Wrinkles without Using Products

  • Lifestyle choices that are healthy can have a positive impact on your skin as well as the products you use.
  • A dermatologist suggests reducing caffeine and alcohol intake, as they can dry out the skin.
  • Healthy habits such as wearing hats to protect your face and drinking water can help prevent skin damage.

You may be surprised to find that healthy lifestyle changes can lead to glowing skin.

Dr. NavaGreenfield, a NYC dermatologist with Schweiger Dermatology Group, stated that overall wellbeing is as important as using skincare products if one wants to have healthy skin.

Greenfield advised that you should cut down on alcohol and coffee consumption, as well as incorporating new lifestyle habits such as sun protection and water intake, to prevent wrinkles.

Drink less coffee and alcohol. Instead, drink more water

Both alcohol and caffeine are fine when used in moderation. However, they can cause skin dryness.

“Drink less coffee and alcohol,”Greenfield shared his thoughts with Insider. “Coffee is a diuretic and both of those can cause dehydration, so unless you are making up for it in very generous water consumption, your skin will suffer,”Greenfield shared his thoughts with Insider.

Dehydration can cause more oily skin and more greasiness for some people. Others may experience very dry skin that can lead to flakiness and irritation as well as premature aging.

For more hydration, drink at least nine glasses of water a day, or 125 ounces of fluids (fl. oz.).

Protect your skin from the sun

Dr. Muneeb Shaikh, a dermatologist.More than 12.1 Million Followers on TikTok, previously told Insider sunscreen is a skincare staple, but you can modify what you’re wearing to help prevent skin damage too.

Using hats, sunglasses, and other accessories to block out the sun can protect against premature aging and skin cancer, Greenfield said.

“Add more sun protection, especially to your face. You can’t go wrong with more sun protection and you will be happy in years to come with less sun damage, less wrinkles, and less discoloration (and less skin cancer) that UV exposure leads to,”She said.
