Cote de Pablo’s years at the hit CBS show were but a shadow of what she had in store for her fans. After her character’s tragic “NCIS” exit in 2013, she went on to work on other projects. Her IMDb profile shows that she was a part of the CBS mini-series “The Dovekeepers” in 2015. Shirah was the name of her character.
After “The Dovekeepers,” de Pablo starred in the 2015 film “The 33” as Jessica. She also played a role in the 2016 movie “Prototype.” A short drama titled “The Crossing” came out in 2019, followed by “Seneca,” which went on to win two awards. After leaving the show, she felt betrayed. Fans got to see a different de Pablo as Ziva David in a total number of five “NCIS” episodes between 2019 and 2020.
When de Pablo had left the show back in 2013, she had said that there was “no money” that could make her stay. The actor found her calling, and when she returned to “NCIS,” fans could clearly see a more matured version of the actor — one that clearly showed what “NCIS” had missed over the years.
