Helen Skelton was born on July 19, 1983, in Carlisle, Cumbria.
She grew up on a dairy farm in the village of Kirkby Thore before getting a BA in journalism from the Cumbria Institute of the Arts.
Although she is now a TV presenter, she started her career as an extra on Coronation Street. She also worked as a tap dance teacher.

Helen was married to Richie Myler (England national rugby league player) in 2013.
They had their first child two years later, in June 2015.
The couple also moved to France in the same year. Richie was then a member of the Catalans Dragons.
They welcomed their second child in April 2017 and their first daughter in Dec 2021.
The couple announced their split in April 2022.
