He was able to kickstart his career, giving him the boost that allowed him to land classic roles such as Indiana JonesThe actor seems to be trying to distance himself from the icon he has become.
Harrison Ford even admitted to wanting Han Solo killed early in Star Wars’ timeline.

According toStarpulse, Harrison said: “I did think the character itself was relatively thin.
“I would have liked to see some complication for the character; the only complication I didn’t get was to die at the end of the third one.
“I thought that would have given the whole film a bottom, but I couldn’t talk George into it.”
The actor spoke out against the character in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. This was especially when compared to his other iconic roles.
“He’s got a good heart but I think he’s certainly a much less interesting character than Indiana Jones. He’s dumb as a stump,” he said.
Ford said, “Han Solo was very kind to me at a particular point in my career. But I’m done. I’m done with him.”

Although he may have seemed a little bored over the years with this franchise, it is amazing to see how the actor got his start at the movies.
The story goes that Ford was a carpenter at the moment and was creating a door to the studio.
George Lucas wanted to show how his three stars interacted with one another by trying to group them together.
However, he only had four available actors to audition for Han Solo.
Lucas met Ford and asked him to join the Han-missing group. He ended up landing.
Harrison Ford revealed that he helped George Lucas audition actors for the principal roles during a Reddit AMA.
“I was completely surprised to be offered the Han part, as I had no expectations or clues that it might be possible.
“My principle job at the time was carpentry.”

Ford’s return to Han Solo was a huge success with fans, but many didn’t know it would be his last.
Han tried to rescue Ben Solo, AKA Kyloren, from the StarKiller base after confronting him.
Kylo Ren, tricked into believing that he had gained his son back, killed the beloved character instead, killing his father in front Chewbacca.
Ford once again displayed his disdain of the movies, after being quizzed about the character’s death.
He said that John Boyega was his natural successor to him for future movies. I was there to die.
“And I didn’t really give a rat’s ass who got my sword.”
