Gray Man fans weigh-in on the identity of the elderly man

Go big or go home. That’s the name of the game for Netflix with The Gray Man, a $200 million blockbuster that boasts some serious talent behind it.

The streamer has become increasingly prolific with its movie content, offering some of the year’s most notable efforts so far. The Russo brothers, the best-known directorial duo for helming, are their greatest yet. Avengers: Infinity War Endgame.

Their MCU efforts have more than proven their ability to direct bold action extravaganzas. The Gray Man has an impressive collection of bombastic set pieces.

Ryan Gosling stars “Sierra Six”After discovering agency secrets, he is being hunted down by his own organization. Tasked with taking him down is Chris Evans’ Lloyd Hansen. The identity of the other man is still a mystery. This encourages audiences to question the authenticity of The Gray Man’s old man.

The old man pulls all the strings

Diving into the mystery, we’re reminded of a scene where Lloyd speaks with CIA director Denny Carmichael (Regé-Jean Page) and asks whether the “Old Man” knows that he’s being hired to take on Sierra Six. However, Lloyd’s superior doesn’t address who the old man is and simply says “heads will roll”.

It’s heavily suggested that the old man ranks much higher above Carmichael and CIA Agent Suzanne Brewer (Jessica Henwick) later asks Carmichael the same question Lloyd did: does the old man know?

However, it’s implied that they’re going to lie about hiring Lloyd to avoid repercussions.
