Diving into the mystery, we’re reminded of a scene where Lloyd speaks with CIA director Denny Carmichael (Regé-Jean Page) and asks whether the “Old Man” knows that he’s being hired to take on Sierra Six. However, Lloyd’s superior doesn’t address who the old man is and simply says “heads will roll”.
It’s heavily suggested that the old man ranks much higher above Carmichael and CIA Agent Suzanne Brewer (Jessica Henwick) later asks Carmichael the same question Lloyd did: does the old man know?

Yes, The Hollywood ReporterReports claim that Netflix has officially confirmed the sequel to The Gray Man.
Ryan Gosling and the film’s directors – Joe and Anthony Russo – are all set to reprise their duties on the follow-up, while co-writer Stephen McFeely will write the screenplay. It has also been confirmed that there will be a spinoff. It’s a franchise!
It’s perhaps not too surprising as the movie is based on Mark Greaney’s 2009 novel of the same name and there are over ten novels in the series that are ripe for adaptation.
