GOGGLEBOX-lovers wept when they saw an emotional scene where a mother gives birth to a child.
The BBC News, Bad Sisters and The Kardashians were all viewed by the Channel 4 cast tonight.
They also viewed a clip from Channel W’s Emma Willis, Delivering Babies.
Presenter Emma, 44 years old, assisted a planned cesarean delivery during the episode they were watching.
Ololade, 42, and Adekunle (43), were thrilled to welcome their third child into this world.
The doctors quickly discovered that the baby was lying on the mother-to-be’s uterus. This is less than 1% of the cases.
They tried to extract the baby but were unsuccessful. The baby was born within minutes.
The child, however, was not responsive.
The cast of Channel 4’s show was very moved by the scenes.
Jenny Newby screamed at her screen in worry. “Come on!”
Shirley Griffiths shook her head.
“Imagine as a parent, it’s your worst nightmare isn’t it,” dad-of-two Baasit Siddiqui added.
The voiceover explained that if the baby is not responsive, resuscitation will be initiated.
“All Ololade and Adekunle can do it wait.”
Pete Sandiford, Dad-of-one said: “I feel so sorry for the parents because they’re literally so helpless.”
A few seconds later, the baby began to cry and was reunited for the first-time with their mother.
The emotions of viewers at home overwhelmed them.
They shared their joy on Twitter.
One of them said: “Blimey! Eyes are tearing up here #gogglebox.”
An additional: “Oh thank god, the baby’s crying…and breathe…”
“Watching the segment whilst being 39 weeks pregnant was not wise. I am in tears,”Another confession was made.
A fourth tweet: “Crying my eyes out at #Gogglebox.”
